you might need to set rules for your firewall.... or you might need to enable port forwarding with those programs to the computer you are using it on...

how is your computer connected??? if its connected through a router then sometimes (50%/50%) it may help by rebooting it, you can do it with a paperclip and stick it in hole that says to reboot or just simply unplug the power cord from the router itself and wait a five minutes or so for it to cool down and then replug it, then itll take a few minutes for it to catch the addresses and all that but it should be working better. If ur computer is directly connected to a modem or box then try getting a friend's laptop or someone else and see if it does the exact same thing, if so then it might be the box is dirty on the inside and needs to be cleaned out or depending on the age of it maybe even replaced.

You give little information but first of all check so your PC is clean do a virusscan and do scan with this free program
http://www.superantispyware.com/

Appears this problem if you start your PC in safe mode with network (press F8 on boot)? If not its indicate the problem isnt virus/trojan related.

you should also check your networksettings again, dns and such.

But again provide more info. Do you have a router, what is the setup?
