Is it unsafe as they say it is?

Yes you should get it pierced if you want to...make sure you go to a professional then it would not be dangerous...tongue rings are cool :) but make sure you brush your tongue a lot after because food gets stuck behind the ring :) good luck :)

Realistically no piercing is really safe because any piercing can become infected or something so I wouldnt worry about it being unsafe, as long as you get it done professionally and take good care of it then you should be set.

Well my friend got her tongue pierced and i personally don't like it that much, i think it is kinda unsafe and doesn't look that good but that's my opinion. So i say no but it's your body. (P.S. think about the future like when your a grandmother do you really wanna have a hole in your tongue?)

It's your choose,don;t let anyone say any different.I didn't think it hurt,it just pinches a little.Your tongue will swell up for a couple days to a week and you will have a hard time eating and talking but when it heals you'll be find.Just have a professional do it,don't do it yourself or have a friend do it.then you could have something go wrong.A professional will know the right place to put it.

I had mine tongue pierced only for a year and it was extremely painful in the beginning, until it healed. I found it gave me bad breath, even though I would floss and soak it in mouthwash.
Dentists strongly advise againist it, since the jewlery can chip your teeth.
I say do what you want, am I sure you already have it made up in your mind.

I have my tounge pierced im 22 years old and a single mother of two! But As long as you take care of it then no its not dangerous! As long as the person piercing it is certified and knows what they are doing!

Well it's up to you,and don't let other people make up your mind for you.But I don't think it's very safe.In a worse case scenario your tongue can get an infection.

I think getting your tongue pierced is perfectly safe! I have my nose pierced and i used to have my tongue pierced and it was not as bad as people say it is!!!!!!!!!!!!

it may be if you go to an unsafe place or an unclean place yeah but u wouldn't be that dumb if u take proper care of it you should be fine

It's not unsafe, it is one of the areas least prone to infection too because your mouth is used to fighting germs. However...I wouldn't.
