It's not Lamar. It's Lamaze. And it's for preparation for having the baby.

I also think that you mean Lamaze. They are not mandatory...but are really helpful. I don't know how I would have made it through labor without them. They teach you how to relax and stay focused during the contractions so they don't hurt so bad...or atleast they are managable. They helped me so much and I would reccommend that all pregnant women take them. I even took Refresher Lamaze Courses when I was pregnant with my second and third children.

Do you mean Lamaze classes? If you do, it's a childbirth preparation class that is based on the belief that birth is normal, natural, and healthy. It gives information and tools about giving birth, medications, other interventions, etc.

Lamaze Classes? Yes, you should really look into them, especially if this is your first child or you just have never taken one before. They are REALLY helpful, they teach you all about focal points and how to breathe and lots of other stuff.Good Luck.

This is horrible. Such a tragic loss of life. And when you have had so many hours of pleasure watching the horses with your dogs it has to cause a special hurt and sense of loss for you. While I can sit here and see the loss nd feel how tragic it is, this is so much more personal for you. That definitely makes it personal for me since you have spent so many tireless hours here on the dog board championing all of our causes while we all hopefully work toward the same goal. I think we can all agree the dog board is particularly passionate when it comes to those issues that endanger both human and canine life. We do love our animals and all here on this board, that I have seen, become outraged and passionate about issues that foster inhumanity and pain. I have also seen some that try and shock and belittle human emotion, always ready to play devil's advocate. There is a place for this thought and reaction, though I think we can all agree it is not here, at this moment and makes the person doing it look very small and petty. Ironically, I have often smiled at the wit and, many times, lack of charm of those who would be so forthright. And I have so frequently seen a need for that brutal honesty here on this board. However, when we become so enthralled and enchanted with our own selves and our own ideas that we cannot see genuine need and emotion, and a hand held out to us asking for support, especially when that hand belongs to one of our own, it is time to step back and ask what exactly we are trying to prove. The loss of human life in any situation is horrible and we can all agree with that. Each of us has faced loss of animals and family and we have each mourned. While I mourn the two lives lost in this fire, as well as all the wonderful horses, I hope I am human enough to reach out and understand the pain of someone who was so much closer to this than I was. And I hope I will always have the compassion to care. Everyone is entitled to their opinions and beliefs and has the right to say them. They even have the right to be rude. And, as so many in this position so often proclaims, they have the right not to give a rat's @zz about what anyone thinks. What I find humorous and fatuous is when these same people who so loudly proclaim how little they care seek to hurt and belittle another by spouting some irrelevant (to the topic) fact that they really could give a rat's @zz less about, except when they are using it to belittle another. How very pathetic.I would love to see these people doing something positive for the causes they absently champion rather than sitting in front of a computer patting themselves on the back for their wit and lack of genuine concern while their euphory is little more than a clownish attempt to bemuse others. When looking at responses from the same on other questions, I have to wonder how long they spent searching for a news article that would fit their moronic, if not sadistic, need. It does get tiring and old rather quickly and makes it very easy to totally ignore as time passes. To BYBscare4$notdogs:: I want to thank you for all the times you have been there for each of us, and all the times we have felt your passion ignite us to action. Thank you in particular for those times you have said something that has helped me. I share in the horrific feelings associated with this tragedy. And I am sure when we see the news about Russia, we will share a feeling of genuine compassion and loss there as well. And I do have an emergency plan for my animals that involves the best outcome for human as well as canine and feline life. Though I think I could do a better job so the implemetation would be more assured with all the knowledge and insight I have gained lately.
