I'm usually very irregular befor 2 or 3 months ago i did not have a period for a year ( i'm only 20), I had everything checked out, ever sort of blood test that could be done for this and everything was perfect..My doctor tried a progesterone challenge on me 10mg for 7 days to see if that would induce, it did. so i have been using progesterone cream the past 3 months and have had a very regular period. Well i missed my period this month, had extremely light brown spotting that was mostly unoticable for 2 days..The past week my breasts have been slightly tender but not extreme and mostly around my nipple area. Anybody know what this could be? My husband and I have had unprotected sex quite a bit last month...But i don't think i would be pregnant due to the fact that befor 3 months ago i did not have a period for over a year...

I don't think it matters that you'd not had a period for that long - the fact is that you've had them for the past three months which means that you released an egg. If in the past month you've had unprotected sex, particularly around the 14 day mark from your last period, you could be pregnant. I am 5 weeks pregnant and had similar spotting around the time that my period would have been due, and have tender breasts. Take a test - if you are pregnant it will show up. Good luck

my breasts hurt the week before my period and a little after usually. i also had light spotting and thought that i might be pregnant, but when i went to my doctor it turns out that it was my birth control making my estrogen levels go all over the place. so it could just be hormones :-)
