It is definately worth the pain. It only feels like a pinch and it looks great afterwards. Especially if you have a flat stomach. Just make sure to take really good care of it or you will regret it. The pain from an infection will be way wrose than the pain from the piercing itself. Good Luck!!

I got mine for christmas 2 years ago....
It really didn't hurt at all. The lady put in an injection of anesthetic before hand so no pain baby!
well that was untill we realized the ring was too thick. The piercing part is fine - just make sure the right size ring is chosen for the piercing.
The first few months were a little pesty because of infection - but just make sure you get told the right cleaning methods and use a good metal -gold/silver.
When the time comes around for babies don't worry you can still keep it. Once it is healed you don't feel a thing....just for the tugging and catching on things - use a simple ring.
Have fun and enjoy - if you decide to do it.
You'll look sexy.

I have a belly button ring, I was scared to get one too. I like mine and have no regrets even with the pain. Also, It will only hurt for a second when they put the needle through. It may be sensitive after, just make sure you dont wear tight clothing that will press on your belly button ring or rub on it and keep it clean so it does not get infected. Once it heals all the way you will forget all about the pain and love it so if you really want to do it, go for it. You only live once right! :)

Make sure you go to someone who uses a needle that is larger than your belly button ring. If they are the same size, the ring will tear your skin on the inside as it slides through.
I had mine pierced three times. The first two didn't go well because of what I described above. Then I went to someone who really knew what they were doing, and there was very little pain. It healed quickly, and I was so pleased.
And your friends are probably trying to scare you. It wasn't that bad. (Now the first two were bad because it was done wrong. But I know you won't let that happen.)

I say you shoudl get it... I got mine 2 years ago and it's on! My sister told me it wouldnt hurt but when it did, it was a fleeting pain. You're going to be so psyched up that adrenaline is rushing through your body. Once you're done, the rush of adrenaline will lower very fast and can cause you to faint (even if you're OK, Believe me!!!!)
Make sure you go to a respectable place and do not skimp on the body jewelry. Get gold if you have any allergies when you wear cheap jewelry. Choose something that you wnat to keep in for a while. You wouldnt want to change your jewelry before your piercing has healed.
As far as the saline spray they'll sell you, I used salty water in a shot glass and placed it there for 3 minutes each day. You will not be completely healed for a while so be patient. If it gets red or has pus coming out, Do Not take it off!! Go to the place you got it pierced and they'll tell you if you have to freak out. Once you take it off and it's not healed, you'll have hard time trying to put it back in.

your 19 & never had it carried out? Girrlllll I have been given mine down while i became 17, it became no longer PAINFUL in any respect! it incredibly is a small prick and that's it, only like your ears (in case you ever had them pierced, which I had down while i became 5 lol) i'm getting a tattoo this week, it incredibly is what genuine soreness sounds like. it incredibly is extremely worth it, and your over 18, which ability technically you're legally allowed to get any style of piercing, heck, it is likewise possible to get a tattoo legally now! the criminal age for piercing w/o parental consent is only sixteen. All you're able to desire to do to maintain it sterilized is it each night, fill a small shotglass up with heat water and all organic sea salt, lay down on your mattress or notwithstanding, and place the water over your abdomen button. save that up for a marvelous a million/2months and you will no longer get an infection.

I got my belly button pierced on my 15th birthday and it wasn't really painful at all. It only takes a couple of seconds so by the time it even starts to hurt it is over. If it is something you really want to do I would go for it the pain is very minimal.

I've been thinking about it but I have decided against it because it seems to be much more trouble than it's worth.
I wear tight/fitted clothes so they belly button ring would protrude and cause indentations. The only times my belly button will be visible to others is when I'm being intimate and when I'm at the beach. I get really paranoid about it getting ripped out... I have also heard that there is a good chance of it getting infected.
You should probably do some actual research first.

If you really really want it, the pain is not a factor. If you are having doubts about getting it, then chances are you shouldn't get it. I believe they sell fake ones you could put in it instead. And I've had it done twice. It doesn't really hurt all that bad. Plus, it's pretty quick. Just make sure that where you go to get it done is very reputable and clean. If you have any doubts about the piercer, leave and go some where else.

Well I dont know if the pain is that bad seeing as I dont have my bellybutton pieced, but I did get my nose done and that didnt hurt at all, just make sure wherever you go that you get some back up information on them and make sure they are good at what they do. I think if getting my nose done didnt hurt I dont see why your bellybutton would, plus I have plenty of friends who have theirs done and they said it doesnt hurt at all. So good luck with your decision
