It is productive if you have a highly desirable skill set.

Then again, if that is the case then headhunters normally find you.

at college I have this really great Lecturer Bill Parker and he told us sadly it is also your appearance if you dress differently from other then try to dress in something that won't put them off, I not saying don't be unique I'm saying if you dress differently then change just for the interview and if you get the job. Got no experience though but still its an answer

Because they think that you might be a match for the position until you prove them wrong in an interview.

They probably didn't like you once they interviewed you, no offense but that is the point of the interview. You can't tell what a person is like on a piece of paper, or computer screen♥ Don't give up.

Yes! It really does make a difference.

I mostly got a lot of calls from Agencies but they have the inside to a lot of good jobs...

Keep looking! If they didn't call you it's a point for you, you may not have liked it anyway...it's a weeding out process. For you & them.

maybe you did match...on paper...

the interview process is too find out who matches best...

just keep going to the interviews and learn how to ace that...

dyk...people form an opinion about you in 3 seconds of meeting you? that can make or break an interview...

good luck to you!
