i have had my 2 leopard geckos for almost 2 months and they still dont like to be handled when i go to open there cage to feed them they run i do every thing 4 them and they dont like me but they go right to my boyfriend i am very good with animals but not them i guess what can i do i kno they dont like to be held that much but they wont even let me pick them up to clean out thee cage

thankx sdarkwolff yea i think thats what it may b because i always wash my hands after b4 and after wards i use the dove cucumber and tea soap is that to purfummie what is a good soap to use so there is not a sent to both them

You need to handle them gently and daily. It could be your boyfriend handles them more and is more at ease with them. Be persistant, pick them up daily and they will come around.

One thing to consider might be smell... now before you take offense... hehe what I mean is: Might it be possible that you smell like lotion, perfume, food or cigarettes? Most reptiles are very sensative to smell.
It could also be are you approaching them too quickly, they do startle easily, wouldn't you if some giant was coming in to grab at you? :)
It would be worth your time to just gently (after feeding time so as not to stress them out as much ) put your hand in the tank for at least a few minutes each day until they begin to realize that your hand is not a threat. Keep trying, it takes time but it's worth it.

How much time do you spend around your little friends and just "chill"? The reason your boyfriend can do this so easily, is because is sounds like he is more at ease around them. When you pick them up, don't think of them as pets. Treat them as friends. Don't be too rough, just be gentle and you'll find they will love you without reserve. Take care!

Must be females.My female dogs prefer my husband-they're downright in love with him,while my male cat prefers me.Give your geckos to your boyfriend and find a couple of male pets

The female body has a certain theramone that the gecko reacts to, it's probably because your so cute, you actually seem unattractive to them.

there very wiggly when she picks them up i kno because its my neighbor lol hey gurl like they really dont like her
