A tornado is formed when hot and cold air collide in the sky.

The collision of the air causes a circulation of wind, gradually increasing in speed.

This circulation causes the clouds to spin and eventually they're pushed down to form a tunnel. This wind tunnel is called a tornado.

Tornadoes varry in size, speed, etc...depending on the different fronts, areas, etc.

Areas that are most susceptable to fast climate change are more likely to expirience tornadoes. Most of these areas are in a stretch of land in the midwest called "Tornado Valley".

Good luck with your paper.

The sky turns a really funny green grey color and everything becomes really spooky still and quite. All the birds stop chirping and the air becomes really still. That will last for a few seconds and then there will be a very loud roaring followed by a lot of wind and the actual twister touching down.

I guess this is a research tool.

It is to do with warm and cold fronts colliding (i.e hot air and cold air mixing). As the hot air speeds up to the sky the cold sweeps down to the bottom, this movement creates a twist affect and gradually forms a funnel of air spinning at tremendous speeds. It becomes visible when it starts to pick up debree.

I suggest you google it, or look on wikipedia for a more scientific explanation

they form over water, with a depth of 50m+ and a temp of 32degC or more. it's to do with pressure, as the warm air rises and cool air falls... this causes the circular motion, and it gains momentum from the sea (as i said before) and moves, then as it goes across land, it looses "fuel" so slows down and stops!
hope that helps a bit

Make sure you name your research in the essay so no one thinks you were cheating.
