I very recently filed for a divorce and was almost faced with that very situation. You will need to get an attorney if you can't locate her because you HAVE to show proof of service - and your spouse has to be served in person. I know, it's a pain, and it will delay things, so the best thing to do is get an attorney who can do what's necessary to move things along for you. In my case, my husband pulled a disappearing act for a while and the minute I found out where he was I had him served before he had a chance to go "into hiding" again. Now all I have to do is wait 31 days and I can file my default papers. If it hadn't worked out this way I too would have had to retain an attorney to get around this. Good luck.

You would think after you got a divorce that you would date around and make sure you do not make the same mistake again. Tip, don't marry the first person that gives you a-s. I'm sure you can find her because you know where the body is buried. I would not tell your new girlfriend or the police. you can go thought the courthouse and they will file without her signature. My ex wife came up missing too, ha...

The best thing you can do is get a dictionary, or if you wish, you can go back and finish middle school. You can't spell, and your wife probably thinks you are a retard. It is no wonder she left you, I am just surprised she even married you.

first of all learn how to spell or to use spell checker. Secondly since she is your wife you must have her social security number. Take it to your lawyer and see if they can find her. Until you have a final decree of DIVORCE you can't MARRY anyone else if you live in the U.S.

these are just suggestions...first if there is child support involved, get the local agency to help...second, if there are joint tax filings, that will list her address...but probably the best way to do it legally...once the paperwork is STARTED, the attorney has methods to acquire the address
