Most dealers will grade a coin for free. That is the best way and if you find it is a valuable coin then you can have the dealer send it in for you to PCGS or NGC, he will advise you of price. If you want to send it in yourself and are a ANA member you can send it in direct to NGC. Now ANACS which is the oldest grading service will except coins directly go to www.ANACS.com for a form and prices. ICG will grade the coin but you must join them, they have a $15 dollar kit but you get it back, for they give you free grading to make up the $15. www.ICGcoin.com

Depends on where you go. if you go to an appraiser it could be free. You just have to go some where and ask the appraiser and ask. You just have to go to some of the appriasers and find out about it.
