I think that there's way more pros than cons. One just has to be as or maybe more open-minded as they would be than in a relationship with someone of their own race.

Hmmmm....I don't think there are really pros or cons anymore. (You are talking to a white woman married to a Mexican man.) It's just not looked upon in most of the world the way it was "way back when...". Seriously, there's really no difference than two white people being married, or two black. People are people. With the same kind of problems, hangups, good qualities, etc. Unless you live in the "bible belt" where in some towns it's still looked on as if aliens just landed, then you'll see that nobody really notices anymore.

There are really no more pros or cons from an interrracial marriage to a one that isn't. The only detail could be some fights about race, especially if one of them is white and insensitive about the whole racism thing. Imagine a white husband telling his black wife she is overreacting to Kramer's comments.... :p

It shows others you believe in diversity. the only pro I can think of. I am against it now for one big reason. with all this constant integration of the races, everyone will eventually have brown eyes, black hair, neither slanted, nor round eyes. everyone will look like evryone else. I like seeing a beautiful blonde haired blue eyed girl, then maybe an attractive black girl, then an oriental, then arabic. I love women and have dated all races. I came to my conclusion later and also, the cultural differences are painful. Latins and blacks tend to be loud, flamboyant. Jewish girls tend to be uptight and costly. Oriental and Arabic girls run towards the more submissive and European Whites? I can't understand a damn thing they say unless they are British, but then we are talking dental differences. I just stick to White American girls, they tend to have a workable balance. Yes, these are stereotypes, but they wouldn't be that way if it wasn't mostly true.

I enjoy the sight of a beautiful blonde white woman and her dark black mandingo lover/husband. I think it is the contrast that makes it so erotic. That's why I believe the white woman and the black man were made for each other.

So yes, I am all for Interracial marriages, relationships or hookups. It's all good.

Pros: same as a same-race marriage
Cons: The only con, if you want to call it that, is that you have the added pressure of closed-minded people. You have to be prepared for those who may not be accepting of your relationship, maybe even family.

By the way at the end of the day we all belong to the same race. That race is called human.

It depends on how supportive your family/friends are and how much you care about other people's opinions. You will always have people looking at you with raised eyebrows, but that is not your problem. Most people couldn't care less. Do what makes you think and marry who you love.

(strictly statistically speaking, however, a white male and black female have the highest divorce rate of any couple of any race)

I think that interracial marriage is a modern marvel much like our Statue of Liberty...It is mind boggling to me...You know just to shatter the myth...I'm all for it!
