I'm 5 weeks pregnant, had some bleeding/spotting last wk and waiting for Sat when I go for my scan. I've noticed that my breast tenderness seems to be changing by the hour - from fine to sore to fine again. My pregnancy tests are still positive. Is this normal?

Yes, it's just your hormones. I had sore breasts with my last two pregnancies and none at all with this one. If you are just 5 weeks pregnant (counting from the first day of your last period), then the bleeding/spotting you had last week may just have been implantation bleeding. If you haven't had any since, that's a good sign. Congratulations and best wishes for a healthy pregnancy and baby.

Some spotting is normal during the first trimester. Breast tenderness is also normal--- your body is reacting to the increase in hormone levels and is getting ready for your little one.
