Word Pad doesn't have 'word count'. See if you have MS Works and that word processor and MS Word both have word count. It cannot be installed seperately in word pad. If you have niether of the MS programs needed, go on line and download "Open Office" it's free and the word processing program has all the bells and whistles. Just type "Open Office" in any search engine.
