About four months ago (Mid November) I had sex with a woman who I no longer keep in touch with. A month after this event, she confronted me stating she had missed her period and was worried of being pregnant. I had an initial freak-out, but was able to subdue myself to think rationally. We decided to take a pregnancy test, duh. However, the following day (the day that she had planned to take the test) she came to me saying that she had her period. Relieved. I again asked her to take the pregnancy test just as a precaution, to prepare for the worst. She assured me it was OK and that would not be necessary. With that, I did not persist, left her and have not spoken with her since.

But it gets worse, yesterday, a very good friend of mine said to me, "ya know, that girl you were with back when looked, umm, pregnant..."

This is where I'm at, what do I do if she's pregnant, if so, she's obviously been deceitful and do I have responsibilities for the pregnancy?

Thanks, Machockey

Yes you have responsibilities to the child if she's pregnant. Nice work, bro.

Sounds like there may be at least one other guy in the running for Dad in this scenario. Most women don't "look pregnant" at 4 months unless they are wearing extremely snug clothes and were truly thin to begin with. Possibly she was already pregnant when you got involved, and has decided to leave you out of it. If that's the case, be thankful. If, however, you are determined to know the truth (as, of course, you should) then ask her politely if the child is yours. If she still says "no", then leave it alone. If she says yes, then you must take the responsibility that goes with that information. THe first thing, of course, would be a paternity test on the child if you have any doubts whatsoever about another man being involved.

What do you do?
You step up and take responsibility for your actions.
It seems to me that she just told you that so you won't feel trapped in a relationship. Tell her you WANT to be there and be part of what you two have created.
I recommend a paternity test just to be sure.

Whose to say that you are responsible? Everybody probably porking her. That's why she is so dismissive.
