I own a 98 isszu rodeo and recently it snowed like 4 inches, when i went out to clean the snow off my car the next morning i started it up first, not realising the wipers were still on.....anyways it stayed like that for like 10 minutes but the blades werent able to move because of the weight of the snow. They arent working at all now, but when i flip the switch i can hear the motor...or something in there running the blades just arent moving. Any ideas what could be wrong with it, and how much its going to cost to fix?

the firdt thing to do is to check the retainer nuts and make sure that they are not loose. If they are, tighten them and problem solved. More likely, one of the linkage components broke and will need replacement. used parts will work fine most of the time and can likely be found in a local salvage yard. Otherwise they are dealer only parts and would have to be ordered from the local Isuzu dealer. Any mechanic can replace the parts

You should be in luck. The problem is the retaining nuts are loose. Pry open the caps at the base of the wiper blades and there should be a nut. Tighten that nut and you'll be fine. It's made that way just for the problem you had. If the blades are blocked then the nut loosens and you don't burn up the motor. Good luck
