Gargle with, warm water with salt. If it does not help immediately, see the dentist. may be the tooth is not completely removed. It must have got broken and a piece might be there causing pain.
Also sometimes, after the tooth extraction the pain remains for 2-3 weeks.

When this happened to me (which I believed due to a dry socket) my friend who also once had it suggested I place a moist tea bag on the site of the pain (i.e. the pit). The pain was gone in a few days. As far as I know dry sockets occur when you lose the blood clot in the pit. The tannins (chemicals in the tea) help to clot the blood, thus reforming the blood clot. I hope this helps.

for me the pain was for more than 3 weeks

dont munch too much on that place
try to take as liquid food as possible
wash your mouth clearly atkeast 3 or 4 times affter the food.

just continue with the medicine and relax

every thing will be alright.

Call your dentist as soon as possible you could have a dry socket and if you don't get it taken care of the pain will get worse.

After a whole week, it should be getting better, it sounds like you may need antibiotics or something.
