I watch TV for entertainment and escapism. I can't stand it when Hollywood decides to "politicize" my favorite TV shows by throwing in derogatory remarks about the President any other thing that is devisive these days. And, the times that I do see this it seems the producers or the writers add these remarks in the dialogue for opportuntiy and no other reason. Does anyone else dislike when this happens to your favorite shows?

I think they should just stick to the show, and leave out anything that has to do with politics.

Yeah, thats always a downer. It's like a chain reaction, when one show decides to take a stab at the president, everyone jumps on the band wagon. You can't escape the very real everyday life when one of the shows you like keeps putting it in your face. I think we should protest hollywood for not keeping its integrity, and becoming so predictable.

It's a sign that the writers have lost their talent and need to move on. Find the production company and let them know your views. They will thank you for it. Or start a Yahoo group to talk this matter through. You have a voice don't be scared to use it.

Really all shows are politicized on some level. Premarital sex, abortion, gay rights, the war, teen pregnancy, equal oppourtunity, divorce, child rearing, ... they all have issues and positions to some extent, and really isn't that part of their charm? They show life as we know it a little amplified or put a different spin on it. Makes us identify with the characters, yet say either I wish that was me or Thank goodness it isn't.
