If a baby didn't eat for sometime but the baby doesn't want to eat when you give them food, are you supposed to hold the baby down and feed them against their will or you dont feed the baby and the baby will eat when they're hungry?

whoa, definitely dont hold them down and force food in their mouth! Be sure the baby is drinking enough bottles! Thats the most important thing, you want them to have 7 or 8 wet diapers a day, or more. Any less means they arent getting enough. If their intake is really low, then go see your pediatrician.

You are not to force a baby to eat. I don't know how you even could, they would probably get so mad that they would scream and gag it back up anyway. Are you referring to a young baby or a older baby. Food or formula? If there are any feeding issues you need to consult your pediatrician. Babies need a certain amount of formula for their age.

Don't force feed - if the child is older than about six or eight months, it will become a lifelong power struggle. Babies ONLY eat if they're hungry.

babies won't starve themselves. Never force them to eat! If your baby is losing weight take them to the doctors, but it is normal for them to eat well one week then hardly at all the next, especially if they are teething!

When they are hungry, they will eat. Dont force the issue.

They always say a baby will eat when he or she is hungry.Don't force them,it could cause them to vomit.

Don't force your baby. There may be something wrong with him/her. Go see the pediatrician.
