so which interests you more and why?

a 19 year old male who has a semi-troubled past. Brown hair and blue eyes, moderately tall, dresses in black and blue, doesn't use weapons, exceptionally skilled in hand-to-hand combat.

or....

I like them both, maybe the story can use both as a main character and then have them meet up for a fight. Both characters sound somewhat dark and mysterious.

Good luck!

Why not use both?
They could be outcasts together, and would make an invincible team!-you might just switch between them
If you only want one, though, I would go with the 19-year old: he seems more mysterious!

I would not worry two much about the details until you have action/plot line to accompany them. This combination (physical characteristics and action/plot/personality details) is what will make the story good.
