You are not dying, I promise you that. I use to have mine for months at a time before they figured that out. Call your GYN and ask them if you should be switching your pill or what you should do.

First of all, calm down. You are not dying. Birth control is a hormone, and it can really mess with your body. When you begin a new pill, many things can happen. You can stop bleeding, bleed more, or just about anything. Bleeding like that is pretty normal, but if you are worried, you should go to your doctor, or at least call a nurse hotline, maybe you need to try a different type of pill. The type of bleeding also will help you know what is going on. I would keep a diary of the bleeding, make sure you take the pills the exact same time, EVERYDAY, and then if things don't get better next month, go to the doctor. Good luck!

You are not dying. My sister had her period one time for 2 weeks straight. Call the doctor that prescribed the pills and tell them what is going on. It could be one of the side effects...or they can advise you what to do, or possibly change your pills. Just calm down and go get on the phone & call the doctor. Good luck to you.

I say this to women with women questions all the time: call your OB/GYN. That's your best option. I wouldn't worry about the dying part. I think you'll be alright if you get some attention to the problem. Good luck, dear.

Go to the doctor. When I first got my period (when I was 12), that happened to me. My doctor put me on birth control for a few months to get me on a schedule.

Hello,
I just went through this last month. Go to your doctor and tell her, that is what I did. She put me on Provera and it stopped my period the next day. Don't let it drag on, worrying about it is the worse part, I let mine drag on for over 2 weeks. I wish I hadn't now!

You're not dying. But you should call your doctor and get in to be seen. You may be having a bad reaction the BCPs and may need to change them.

Call your OB-GYN. Why bother with Yahoo when it comes to your health. I've been down this road myself with a period as long as this, you'll be amazed at how the OB-GYN is the only one who can give you good advice on this situation.
