sorry guys, I'm getting it straight from the source, a real cia covert agent said otherwise.
Even if someone was ":outed" once, that does not give the newspapers and t.v. shows the authority to post her picture all over the place.

If someones pic was released when it shouldn't have, would have been shot down immediately. It's called damage control. To continue putting ones pic out, especially on purpose, shows that plame is a liar regarding putting others in danger, or at least her caring about putting them in danger

I can't wait for her case to come to trail because those Senate Hearings were a joke. NOT ONE SINGLE OPPOSITION WITNESS WAS ALLOWED TO SPEAK. This is just another Democrat dog & pony show. The thing that's really ticking me off is that the Republicans have all withdrawn into their shells and they are not defending anything that they have said or done, when the defense is so obvious that it's rediculous. Wilson is a liar with an agenda and so's his bimbo wife. All we keep hearing about are CIA scandals, and judging by what I've seen come out of Plame's pie hole, I understand why. The whole Agency stinks.
When Gonzales fired the 8 DA's on orders from the White House and the loopy Dems started their whining, the President Should have just come out and flatly stated, they serve at my pleasure and it's my perrogative to fire them if I feel like it so SHUT UP! The whole thing would have been over then.
I'm also wondering why all the folks that are taking her side are conveniently forgetting that he own husband outed her at various dinners and functions long before Richard Armitage told anyone about her. Jackass Joe Wilson introducing her as my wife the CIA agent to rooms full of people is just as much outing as anything anyone else said about her.

But the Bush administration purposely outs a CIA agent and now "liberals are on a witch hunt....trying to tarnish people"?
You need to acquire a firm grip on reality.
That lady had her career ruined. You know how difficult it is to get in the CIA, let alone become a covert agent!?!? I'd write a book too...she was robbed of her life's passion. The least she can do is make some bucks to lessen the financial burden.
Could you imagine if someone pulled you off the drive through and told you you'd never serve Big Macs again???

She became useless to the CIA once she was outed. There was no further reason to keep her identity secret. She's not giving out the names of other covert agents, how is she putting them in danger?

She was already outed and can no longer work covertly. What would the point be now of trying to keep something secret that is not a secret? Her ability to work as a covert agent is now gone. What should she do to earn a living? I have no problem with her making money from this. She was wronged and deserves restitution.

Since her cover has been blown and her face on TV it is too late for hiding any more. What is going to happen is going to happen and her face on a book will make no difference.
Someone in Cheney's office blew her cover. Sounds like treason to me. I believe we are not through here. Libby got zapped for lying to the FBI etc. Now it is time to find who the traitor is that leaked it. I would not be surprised if the name is spelled Rove or Cheney. They are both vindictive.

You can only be outed once. So once you are outed, it doesn't matter what you do with your identitiy as far a publicity goes. Also, since her career was hurt by the outing, she is probably trying to get her name out there for a book deal or something. Kind of an oppurtunist. But she wasn't the one who put her in that situation.

She never worked in a undercover covert status and never will. The Judge in the court also ruled that no member of the jury was to hear that she never was a covert Agent. Once she was outed, there was nothing more she could do for the safety of the people she worked with. Now, of course, she's going to make mega-bucks off this which is, in my opinion, in very poor taste.
