I am talking about unaddressed "mail" that is delivered by a "private" individual.

I would not expect or wish my postman to filter anything out that had my address and a stamp on it.

Most of the time they do work. However bare in mind flyers for fast food will always make it to your mail box as they tend to be delivered by private people who ignore the sign. Its a great way to reduce the amount of paper you have to recycle. The only downside is you wount know whats on special in the local store, unless of course you have a little somethign called Interenet to check out the companies websites
