To many it is. I grew up with the battle flag closely associated in symbolism with Jack Daniels, Lynrd Skynrd, pot, muscle cars. It wasn't about slavery or the KKK, although we were very aware of the connection. It was more about rallying around being "Southern" and not having any other convenient banner.

Actually the TV show was cancelled due to declining quality and viewership.
And the actors playing Bo and Luke Duke held out for salary negotiations, and the producers brought in cousins Coy and Vance Duke. I think it came back for one more year with Bo and Luke, but by then it had 'jumped the shark.'
*edit* Sorry, I misread your question. I did not know about the concert, but the TV show did run for like seven years or so, so I don't think people have that much of a problem with the General Lee.

Quote "is the Confederate flag an offensive symbol?"
Second Quote "Blessed are they that love thy law for in nothing shall they be offended"
So if you hate God and the Laws of God then you might be offended.
However if you love the laws of God the Dukes of Hazard would have no effect on you.
Offense is a good meter for ones soul. If you feel offended then you have a problem.

Some people find that the confederate flag is offensive. I suppose it depends on where you are from and who you are. I see that flag flying at a lot of nascar races and I suppose it is people who live down south. As for me, I don't care one way or the other.

According to the NAACP who pushed the Cincinatti Pops not to hire Wopat and Schneider it is. Here's what I don't get. Why is a Confederate Battle flag unwanted due to it's history, but yet the flag that was flying over our capital during the time that slavery was accepted is not?

Most people see it that way.
But to ban Tom Wopat and John Schneider because of a TV show they were in more than twenty years ago is beyond stupid.

I think it was canceled due to the insult to the intellect of viewers. The flag is not a racist symbol to me.

Is it un-PC? Absolutely. So much for freedom of speech. Let it offend. The day they make offensiveness a crime is the day I start smacking people who get on my nerves.
