My friend is having a weird problem. She can log in and view posts and PM messages at IMDB, but for some reason it's not allowing her to post replies. She thinks that maybe she's just blocked because she's using a work PC, but if that were true, wouldn't the entire site be blocked? How is she able to log in?

Now the only thing I can think of is possibly a corrupted cookie or temp file that's not allowing her to post. So I suggested to clear the cookie, and just to be safe, clear history and temp internet files as well. I haven't heard back from her yet to see if it worked, but is there anything else to try? Or would you suggest the same thing?

It just seems weird that she can log in and see messages, but can't post.

Rick, thanks for the response. That seems to make a little more sense to me now. Any chance of a proxy site breaking through that block? Or is it not even worth it to try?

Hi Angie,

I'm able to get onto the Internet Movie Database site without having to log in. I can read the forums section also. It's only if I post anything that I need to login. That's when I get a screen that comes up telling me to login, and that might be when your friend's work's filters kick in to stop that capability. Sorry about that.

hmmm....well it is owned by amazon.com now, so whenever I try to post, it says that I should have an active account at Amazon too and I dont want to
so I give up at IMDB, lol
