I have been told that the minimum age is to change. But I have checked the DVLA info which of course only lists current data (not future changes), and googled the web for references but cannot find any. Any one heard this, or seen a reference ?

The minimun age for applying is currently 17. this is also the age at which you can start learning to drive, but you cannot legally drive on your own until you have pessed both theory and practical tests. you cannot take these tests until you are at least 18. I hope this answers your question. For further information, you should try talking to an examiner at your local test centre. They will also be able to tell you of any changes that are about to come into force. You will find the address to your local test centre on the dsa website.
