Why is Black considered the best talent in American Football?

They made this same argument about Basketball until European teams like Greece and then Spain beat them multiple times. The thing about American Football is that they havent really tried playing against a European counterpart yet and i think when they do they will end up just like the Basketball dream team, beaten.

I just dont understand all this propaganda in the States concerning how better Blacks are at sports as its complete trash talk. Same with when former Russian republic boxers started coming to the states a few years back and now they hold all four heavyweight belts and out of the 20 belts on the whole Europeans hold 17 of them.

I just wished you Americans would stop believing the hype around Blacks when everything else suggests otherwise. Sure you do have some good Black American Football players but they arent that good its called reverse discrimination and you should realise that sad fact.

WELL first id like to say that when we look at athletes we see athletes. You shouldnt see color, race, religion, ethnicity. When you look at a man running the 100 meter dash and he breaks the world record does it really matter what religion he is? How about what country he is from? Or even his color... It doesnt matter in the slightest. We dont believe blacks are better we believe that in america competeition is greater because we give everyone a chance. Competition creates better athletes and it is a FACT that american football teams would win out of european football teams. You saying that americans propogana says that blacks are better is pure ignorance, not to mention you sound like a racist.

Another thing. When the "basketball dream team" came to europe (Jordan, Johnson, Bird) it was an absolute masacre they destroyed every team that stood in there way and i think the average margin of victory was in the high 20's. That is a fact. The reason that most european basketball teams can do better than americans in those competitions is because they play together almost year round... that is except for their best players and where do their best players play at? Where else but america, where they become the best on their teams through competition. In the US we throw a team together at the last minute give em a few practices and send em off to play in europe. They still compete do better than most. If you try this with these european teams it would be awful. College level play AT BEST. At least in basketball alot of no US natives play in the pros. In football its a whole different story, you have maybe 2 guys on each team from a different country. You asking this question offends me very much and you should stop tooting your own horn pay attention to the facts next time before you go spouting off.

Only a racist would ask that question.... You pick the best european players against the best black players in the nba it would be a whoopn. The haven't picked the best in basketball since the original dream team because they didn't want to keep humiliating them. Now they have been picking second to third best to give Y'ALL a chance to play and think you are better than US. There is no team outside the U.S. that could beat our best. Put our best against any in any sport and the Black American team will humiliate them!!!

Dude you existence seems to be sad fact. Ok see we have this thing called COLLEGE FOOTBALL and HIGH SCHOOL Football. At each level a few more get cut. Then in the end the BEST are there for the NFL level. At that level the WHITE AMERICANS aren't as good as the BLACK AMERICANS. It isn't racism it is the simple fact. Maybe white Europeans are better then black Americans, but that doesn't mean that WHITE AMERICANS are better then BLACK AMERICANS .See how that works. Oh and another thing, your Europeans never beat the Dream Team. There was only ONE TRUE Dream Team. They dominated the Olympics. In their prime they would still be dominating, even as you people are catching up. The rest just kept up the name.

America's best boxing talent now plays football, and sometimes basketball. From the late 1800's to about mid century the big 3 in the sports world was not baseball, football, and basketball; it was baseball, horse racing, and boxing. By the turn of the century blacks were beginning to be shut out of the first two sports (The majority of the first Kentucky Derby winners were black and, contrary to popular belief, blacks played pro baseball in the beginning. Both sports banned blacks from participation by around the turn of the century.) Athletic young black men often gravitated to boxing as a result. By the mid '50s football and basketball were beginning to slowly rise in popularity and boxing was beginning to slowly decline. By the mid 70's football and basketball had emerged as a much better option for big, talented athletes. Mike Tyson in the 80's was the exception that proved this rule. 50,60,70 years ago the Ray Lewises, Shawne Merrimans, and Ben Wallaces of our sporting world would have been boxing champs. Had they grown up with boxing as a goal they would probably be contending or holding titles now. If Joe Louis or Jack Johnson were alive today they would not be boxers but, rather, terrific linebackers or defensive ends. The Klitschkos, Valuevs, et. al would probably be competitive, but they would not be the kind of champions they are now.

I am not really sure that I understand your point. The US has the best basketball players in the world. Many of the European teams play together all year round, while the US team is put together just to compete for the Olympics. Many of the best players in the US haven't even played in recent years.

Boxing is a joke with about 50 belts. Wasn't Lennox Lewis black and European?

why is race an issue? It's just the talent that each individual have and make an impact for the sport. they don't get recognize or paid for their skin color but for their work ethnic. this shouldn't be a question for you to ask. Many whites holds more record in the NFL than black people do. Its just like other race black has talent,skills, and love for the sport to succeed

wow... i don't believe that i've ever thought something remotely like that. i'll discuss it surrounding football.
quarterback- i believe the majority of quarterbacks are white. people of caucasian descent grow muscles in a diferent way than people of african descent. its not racist, its genetics. this results in whites naturally having bodies that fit into the role of field general better.
o-line - another white dominated position. again, genetics. whites naturally but on more mass (aka fat and muscle mass)
reciever- this role is equal. there are plenty of good white recievers. the difference is that they are generally possesion recievers, used for their soft hands and ability to take hits.
d-line- even again. there is just as many good white defensive ends as black ones.

the list goes on...
i believe your wrong about americans believing that black=better. it just happens that american sports (that people actually care about, like not soccer, boxing, wrestling etc.) require incredibly specialized people. in a lot of cases, a black person fits that bill for physical excellence.
