Back in the late 70's early 80's when the snack Bugles came out...?

there was another snack that was a lot like them - Does anyone know what they were?

ok, well 70's / 80's is when I remember eating them along with this other snack. The snack I am thinking of did not look like Bugles but they were off beat like Bugles.

I don't remember any other snack that looked like Bugles.

I remember eating Bugles when I was in High School in the 60's though so I think they came out a lot earlier then you thought.

I just checked Wikipedia and it said Bugles came out in 1966. That doesn't really answer your question but I cannot remember anything else that was like bugles.

Were they General Mills "Whistles" ? This has been bugging me for weeks, as well !
I checked 'hometown favorites" - and found that they stopped making Whistles sometime in the 70's or 80's.

They still make Bugles, I just had some not to long ago. Ask your grosser to see if they can get them in.
