Maybe its laziness or a lack of curiosity?Otherwise, I'd go back to playing online games instead of learning new ideas and how to answer them.
I had a teacher say to me once,"the only dumb question is the one that's not asked."

Many reasons:

-Social interaction
-Laziness
-They can't find answers to their question
-Different takes on their question
-They want opinions or advice that can only be provided by an actual person's response
