I want to be able to talk to open-minded people who do not force their beliefs onto everyone else. So, are you one of these people? I am not going to judge anyone for their opinions so feel free to state them!

I have a very strong set of morals but I do not like it when others decide that only their idea is right, that is what I meant. I do not push my morals onto others I like differences in opinions and I hate it when people believe that their way is the only way.

I agree. I say live and let live, and if you don't agree, then agree to disagree and leave it alone.

I'm real open-minded about most things especially religion. I know that everyone is different therefore they should live their lives according to what suits them. I know a lot of people that are very culturally different and it's pretty amazing to hear about all the different things they do and believe. I don't like talking to anybody that's pushy about anything. After all, we do live in a land of freedom, opportunity and where just about anything goes! Have fun reading the different answers you receive! :)

I think people stay open minded until they feel they have enough information to make a determination. If the information basis changes, so can the conclusion. If nothing is written in stone, neither should an opinion be so fluid that it amounts to nothing. While its always nice to have other people feel the same way you do, and certainly you will be more comfortable with those who do, its not necessary to 'convert' others to your way of thinking, in fact, it makes for darn poor discussions.
I have been told that I am opinionated, usually by those whose opinions I don't share, and I think its pretty funny because I don't try to change others ideas, or allow others to change mine solely by virtue of their opinions either.
I guess that makes me as open minded as its possible for a thinking human to be.

I think anyone would call themselves open-minded, we all like to think of ourselves positively. But still, I think I'm the kind of person that gets along. If you're imposing your ideas and you're being an *** about it, I'll definitely impose my own. Because if I don't, somehow I'll be left feeling talked down. But if you're nice & that, I can be nice back. & I am mostly.

Unless someone is literally holding a gun to your head, you should not allow them to force their beliefs on you. So you really don't have to be so scared that someone will give you information that doesn't fit your present belief schema.
People are now AFRAID to talk about many subjects (politics, religion, etc.) because they are scared they don't have the integrity to endure the discussion of a topic. And that's when they close their minds and say, "We can't talk about it... it causes too many bad feelings."

Is your statement simply that you're not going to believe anything anyone says that you don't believe already? Does that make you open minded?

I am open minded. I have put hours upon hours into the study of gay parenting and the outcome of the children they raise.
