My final law ball forthcoming-wat do i wear!? I canr decide whether i should go for the unique approach and wear a sari (elegant indian outfit -for those that dnt no wat a sari is) or shall i go safe and wear a dress like everyone else? I will be probably one of two indian ppl there. I want an individual look to everyone else but i dnt want ppl around me to feel uncomfortable. I have a gorgeous nude colour sari or a floor length red ball gown....help plz!

I think that you should go for your own look, Let me just tell you standing out and showing your heritage is a bold and outstanding thing to do.

I vote Sari. I went with a friend to their coworker's christmas party a few years ago and one of the coworker's friends was wearing a sari. She looked so beautiful and didn't blend in with the crowd.
If you are really that up in the air about it, wear the sari but keep the dress in your car, just in case!

I would say go for the sari.
We tend to get conscious with our ethnicity, but they are accepted well.
Try to get your blouse stitched in a slightly modern way..Spaghetti straps or so..If not comfortable go for sleeveless.
Just walk with confidence in your eyes & you'll look great...Any woman looks beautiful in a sari ;-)

You should wear whichever will look better on your body or whichever is dressier. But I say...rock the sari : )

Wow, definatly wear your sari, first its obviously part of your heritage and second, I think they are more beautiful than any ball gown.

you can never go wrong with red, it's an attractive color on anyone. but if you want to be unique and stand out amongst your peers, definately wear the nude color sari! =)

Go with what you feel most beautiful in. Having a lovely evening and feeling comfortable in your outfit is more important than what anyone else sees/thinks about your attire.
