At home and daycare she will fall asleep while we (myself and babysitter) are rocking her after she has had her bottle and as soon as we lay her in her crib she starts crying like someone hurt her.. HELP!
At home I let her cry in her crib, but she will cry for an hour and I know I shouldn't give in but I can't listen to her cry for that long it breaks my heart. At daycare she can not let just let her scream because she will wake up the other babies...
Any tips on how we can get her to sleep in her crib??

My son was the same when he was 6 months old. he seemed like he didnt want the crib at all and when i put him down we had hard times keeping him in there. But he eventually gave up after a while.

I added to his crib one of those soothing sounds aquarium toys, makes ocean sounds, calming music and had lights for the child to look and even fall asleep by himself.

I noticed my son needed noise around him, like if he fell alseep in my arms at living room and then i go to the bedroom wheer it was quiet that would wake him up. Try to add something with your smell to his crib. So try buying this. I added you the link.

I can't stress this enough: PUT HER TO BED AWAKE. Don't rock her to sleep, nurse her to sleep, etc. She needs to learn how to fall asleep and how to soothe herself when she wakes up. Right now she's using you for a crutch and will continue to do so until she learns how to fall asleep all by herself.

If you want some specific pointers, try looking up Dr. Ferber or Dr. Sears on the Internet. Both have different methods of helping your child to fall asleep and stay asleep. You have to try which one is best for you and your child. But you MUST be consistent once you start!

You've gotten some great ideas for some white noise to help your baby sleep. Can't hurt to try them as they may help.

I know it is difficult to let her cry, but eventually she will learn to sleep on her own if you let her do this.

As long as you give in and pick her up she won't sleep in her crib.

The babysitter holding her isn't helping either. You may have to keep her home from daycare till she learns to sleep on her own.

my baby doesnt like to sleep without me holding her either. so i hold her till she is totally asleep, but before she went to sleep i made her car seat comfy i laya then soft blanky in it, then i lay her in it carefully and cover her up with a blanky . that way the carseat huggs her like i would. she sleeps upto 30 minutes an hour some times. she feels like im still holding her so she sleeps fine. hope this helps.
