I have minor scoliosis. I strengthen the muscles in my back to help support the spine and keep it straight. I use a plastic band and wrap it around a pole and pull back. Rowing machines help too. Also practice sitting up as straight as you can and don't slouch. All these things help but if it is really bad it can get worse and you might need surgery.

I too have Scoliosis. I am 37 years old it hurts me everyday. I have tried back exercises they work OK. Squats help, do not bend over use your legs to pick things up. The key is to use your legs. I hope this helps.

That dip is caused by rotational deformity. There are exercises one could do...but it is specific to each types of scoliosis and there are many different classifications. You might want to get properly evaluated before delving into such exercises.
Spinecor brace providers teach rehab exercise methods and do classification. You might want to check them out...

Try yoga, its great for lots of reasons, you can work on both sides. I have scoliosis, spina bifida, degenerative disc disease, and sciatica, yoga changed my life, I have been doing it for 12 years, and I don't go to the chiropractor anymore. Take a class, buy a book, or get a video.

unfortunately, there is no exercise at all that would straighten out your spine.
at 16, you are probably already skeletally mature or at least very close to it (meaning you won't grow any taller). so wherever curvature you have now is what you are going to have...unless it is really severe in which case it can continue to progress.

Swimming is very good for strengthening the back muscles. Consistent swimming will help to strengthen your back and straighten out the spine. You should get recommendations from your doctor to decide if other measures are necessary.
