Do you think that teenage girls should wear makeup, and why? Or do you think it's fine for them to wear little or not make up?

I don't think that it's necessary for teenage girls to wear makeup. I think a little is fine if they want to wear it, that's a personal decision between them and their parents. I don't like to see teenage girls (or adults for that matter) with tons and tons of makeup on. I think at that age the focus should be on developing and maintaining good skincare habits that can be used throughout life.

Completely ok! I'm now 38 and when I look at my teen pictures from the 80s with all of the gross eye makeup I just about want to heave. I see now that I didn't need so much make-up.

To me, the best look for any age is natural. That can mean no make-up or just enough make-up to look natural. Sure, you might want to put a little more on when you go out w/friends but for daytime natural is GREAT! Plus, people will be paying attention to you, not some bright shade on the eyes/lips.

When I was in college I had roommates w/gorgeous skin and they didn't wear any make-up. I gathered my courage & started going w/out and loved it. Guys really seemed to like the natural look too (maybe it makes us seem more real or approachable somehow...I dunno).

Now that I'm older I wear just a drop of base mixed in w/an spf facial moisturizer and it's just right (the thought of spreading straight foundation on my face grosses me out!).

You ultimately do what you feel most comfortable with. I'd say don't worry about trying to look older though (if that's even an issue w/you), you'll have plenty of time being older once it actually happens!

Nobody HAS to wear makeup. And especially teenagers. I am a teenager myself and this is how I think of it:

We are only going to be young once and have beautiful skin once. So i think we should embrace this and not cover up our beautiful skin while we can still get away with it. BUT as for me... I LOVE being creative and expressing myself. And I love experimenting with new looks and I am also thinking about becoming a makeup artist.....SO i do wear makeup... not foundation or anything like that, but I wear eyeliner everyday and sometimes mascara and sometimes eyeshadow... its just whatever i feel like.

There is also a downside to this..... when you start wearing makeup everyday.. you look wierd without it.... but i am not one who wears a ton... so it isn't so bad for me.

Just think about what I said and make your own decision! =) I hope I helped!

It's whatever you're comfortable. Some teenage girls think that more is better and truly it's just the opposite. Also, if you are fortunate enough to have beautiful skin then why clog your pores by applying makeup. Too much is definitely out - no matter what your age. So, if you don't need it, don't use it. If you just want to enhance your eyes, or your cheeks bones, then experiment with a little makeup - it really can bring out your features. Most important is what you're comfortable with.

There is no rule saying that teenage girls have to wear make-up. If you don't want to, then don't I am 14 and I do wear make-up because I love hair and clothes and make-up and when I put make -up on I think I look pretty. Maybe you already think that you look pretty or maybe you just don't care. Just don't go in public looking like you just got out of bed. Present yourself nicely but you don't always have to do that with make-up.

I think anyone can get away with not wearing makeup, I'm 19, and I dont wear it every day... I think a girl should be 13 or so before she starts wearing it for real tho.... atleast. The later you start wearing it, the better. especially at a young age, its easy to not know how, or to forget to take care of your skin properly for makeup use. Yeah makeup enhances your looks, but its also damaging to your complexion. oil gets into your pores, clogs them, etc. unless you take really good care of your skin, I dont think people should wear it at all.

You should not wear make up everyday only wear a bit at special occassions because then your face will look a lil different...you don't want to look the same everyday and on special occassions :) natural is the best1 let your skin breathe, don't clog it up... (I'm regreting that I started using make up because now ppl would think I'm weird if I don't wear it, because I look quite different, I have though decreased the amount of make-up I wear and it feels sooo much better! )

I wore makeup as a teenager, as I think many girls do. I honestly think that as long as they are properly educated and aren't using a concealer as a foundation (for example), then it is okay. You choose! It's your face, and if you feel better without it then it is okay.
