........even when they are being respectful in thier question and answer. Tyler had a very good question and I gave a respectable and honest answer and yet people are reporting it as abuse. Why do people try to control the mood of this room by reporting people they don't agree with? It seems as though we have in this room many foreigners that feel a need to push thier views on everybody else and if people don't accept them then they report them for abuse. Check out the answer to my question yourself and you will see that there is no name calling and that it is a credible answer to this man's honest question. I think this man should not only have the opinions of the older foreigners that marry young filipinas but also the opinions of filipinos.

If the abuse reports are coming from Y!A Philippines users, it's probably because, while you may think your answer is reasonable, Philippine users may see it as an affront to their culture and consider it abusive speech.

While I tend to agree w/ the general tone of your assessment of your response, I can also see where a culturally conservative type could see it another way and totally flip out, so to speak. It's the hazards of the global society: we want others to be open to our thinking, yet be respectful when others are close-minded.

I've read all the answers there. There's nothing wrong with the answers. It's just that the Filipinos now are fully aware of everybody's intentions especially the unannounced intentions of have a relationship with the Filipinas. Ever heard of killing a wife due to her insurance? Well, that's one thing. Don't say that Filipino men are just jealoous because of money and looks... Because deep within them, there still remained in their hearts how the Filipinos were treated before. No need to quarrel about this issue.
Have a nice day, guys :) GOD BLESS US ALL.

First of all, Filipinos are not idiots or stupid, as to what some answers you got. I understand your point in your answer in the mentioned question and I believe whoever reported your answer as abuse doesn't seem to understand what you mean.

You said yourself in your answer that you're a Filipino that's why I'm confused why you are asking this question. Anyway, maybe whoever made the report against you was probably offended by your suggestion.
There are women in the Philippines who are still quite conservative when it comes to dating. If you are dating whether in person or online, women expect you to be loyal which is the same with them, they are loyal to you no matter how far is your distance from each other. I understand that here in the States and basically common with men, to keep on dating anyone until you find the right one. In the Philippines, if you are in a relationship, they expect you to be committed in the relationship not just keep on flirting with other women.

You're mistaken. Y/A does not remove answers that does not agree with a reporter's opinion. The Y/A guidelines do not allow such requests to be processed.

However, answers that violate Y/A guidelines (racist, harrassing, offensive, inappropriate, irrelvant, etc.) are removable. Admittedly, people who are offended by the tone of an answer could use any of the above guidelines as a peripheral technicality to have unagreeable postings removed.

Lesson of the day, if you want to post a controversial answer or question, proofread it first and remove sentences or words that may fall into a prohibited category.

I have read your answer three or four times and personally I don't see any reason why anybody should report it.
I read between the lines and I know the point you are making but you made it in a tactful manner.
Maybe some people are still reacting to the"old" Filamusa rather than reading the "new" Filamusa. Give them time to adjust.

my question has been report abuse many times here in y!a philippines. most of the question by the way are fun to answer. but some certain people are just too uptight to have some fun here and got insulted easily. as if they take the question personally. those are hard core people who always think that they know whats wrong and right.

i do no longer understand approximately misused given which you may get your answer appealed if that's been wrongly suggested, yet their regulations are difficult to stay with. Any question might nicely be seen "chatting".

people take things too personally here. the sad thing is we can no longer differentiate who's saying the truth from one who isn't. and they think highly of themselves that they feel tehy should only be the ones who should reign here. baloney!

i think it's ok to have fun here in Y!A but if you start harassing and hitting other participant below the belt comments, then it's no fun anymore.
