well initially when i started dancing yes...
but after i was trained about spotting, the problem disappeared.
so now let me describe to you what spotting is!
1) at the direstion u are turning to, find something that is attention grabbing (e.g. something bright would be easier) around ur eye level or higher.
2) keep looking at it when u turn until ur neck is breaking
3) turn ur head fast ( at break neck speed literally)
4) find that item again
5) continue practicing
note: in spotting, the first phrase, usually ur body will go first follow by head, then in the second phrase, the head will reach first then the body.

Make sure you find one place at the wall, and look at it when your spinning, When your head can't turn anymore, whip your head around and find the spot on the wall.

no because you spot by chosing a certain place on the wall or wherever and look at that spot when you are turning...it may be confusing for beginners.
