I accidentally ripped off some of the paint and underneath when I was pulling tape off that I had stuck to a wall. I don't own the property and I don't want to lose my security deposit. What should I do to fix this?

Get a small container of spackle and a putty knife and some fine sandpaper...spread spackle over affected area feathering out onto the painted area...after the spackle dries sand it smooth....and repaint the affected area also feathering the paint onto the already painted area..this will look very good and shouldn't be detectable if you do a good job

Get a small container of drywall compound and a large putty knife. Use the compound to fill in the area where the paint pulled ofd and smooth it with the knife. When dry, sand smooth and paint over the patch. Primer before the paint is recommended but can be skipped.

Spackle the area, let it dry thoroughly, sand it with very fine sand paper, then repaint. Good luck.
