If it is WiFi

Poer them off thenb wait 30 seconds power the Modem, alow it to aquire and IP address. after al the lites become steady (with the excption of the activity light) then power the router and alow it to do the same. then connect to the network.
Hard wired
-Chech the connections cyle the modem. and check to see if any other network assetts are connect to the network. It could be the NIC if so you need to replace it..

Hmm... Seems you left a TON of info out here...Like if you're using a router? How are you connecting to the Internet?
Without basic info like this nobody can help you...add more info.

We'll need a bit more information. What sort of internet connection do you have? It sounds as if your connection is down.

Wireless?
if so, you probably aren't getting an IP address.
Go to start>run - type "cmd" hit enter. type ipconfig.
do you have an IP address assigned (some other numbers than 0.0.0.0)?

Well... I could help if you gave us more details.
How are you connected to the internet?
What were you doing when it happened?
