expired test...?

so on sunday i took a HPT.. there was a faint positive line.. but then i looked at the box and it expired in Dec. 06... well then i took one monday night ( first response) and it was clearly negative... im not due for AF til today or tomorrow.. but should i just wait it out, or test again?

Have been in this situation myself. I called the manufacturer and they told me that an expired test can give a false positive.
