Hi, I'm writing to see if the amount of make up worn by the girls in my year is normal :-p

1. How often do you wear make up?
a) everyday without fail! b) special occasions. c) never really.

2. How often do you apply your make make up during the day?
a) every hour. b) more than three times a day. c) once or twice.

3. Why do you wear make up?/ Why do you think others wear make up? (answer how you feel is nessisary).

thanks :-) hehe it's just that girls in my year at school apply it every lesson!! And I was just wondering if that is normal? or too much...?

1. A--I don't like to go without it
2. C--I wear long lasting makeup and usually have to just touch up my lipstick
3.--I wear makeup because it makes me feel better about myself. When I look good, I feel more confident and in control. I am a beauty consultant so taking care of my skin and looking good is a requirement.

I think others wear it for basically the same reason (except being a beauty consultant maybe) ...I feel that some teenagers do wear too much..like especially eyeliner...I have seen several who pile it on and it just makes them look bad..I think you should wear enough makeup to look pretty and natural not overdo it and look like Tammy Fae...

Because I am white as a ghost, even with makeup people tell me sometimes I look very pale.

Also because I like to bring my eyes out. I have very fair eyelashes and very blue eyes. So mascara and eyeshadow and at night or when I just want to eyeliner helps out with that.

Here are my answers:

1. a) sort of - I wear make up every day unless it's a weekend and I'm just hanging around the house.
2. c) I only put on make up in the mornings unless it's a weekend and I'm going out that night - I will usually shower and redo it.
3. I wear makeup because it covers the blemishes, the little broken veins, just gives a smoother look to my skin. I don't expect it to take any years off my face -only a face lift could help in that department!

My make up motto is this - just a little is enough - too much is too harsh and none at all is just simply frightening!

4. I think that girls could wear little make up and go as natural as you can. When I was in high school there were some girls that looked like they were going to a party with all the make up that they had. Sure it looked nice but when they really go to a party they are not going to make that much impression with guys. On the other side the girls that prefer their natural beauty, when they go to an special event and you do your make up guys can notice, and you can really make an impression including "wow you look really nice" kind of feedback. It happened to me ;)

3) I wear make-up (only around the eyes) because I think it makes me look more aware/awake of things. I think others wear make-up because they feel as if they have too, they are unconfident, they feel they have to hide themselves.

I think 15-18 is a perfectly fine age for wearing make-up but nowadays it's young as 11 so why not for 15-18s!

2) i never redo my eyes unless it is Friday and then i only redo them before i am going out. but every 3-4 hours i reapply face powder in the bathroom. it keeps my skin from looking oily
3)I wear makeup because with out eyeliner my eyes look kinda plain. and i feel naked without any make-up on. also i wear face powder to hid my oily skin bc during school i cannot wash my face. i am really conscious of oily skin bc my friend has a really bad case of it and i do not want it to happen to me. other people wear make-up probably for the same reasons. to feel good about themselves. maybe they think it makes them look more attractive.
