How does everyone else know when you are going to have your baby?

Your baby will decide when he or she is ready to enter this world...don't stress over when it is going to happen.

no it could not be true! you baby is low because it getting in position, doesnt mean you will go early, but you might. a friend of mine was huge and hanging low, she was also pregnant with her third child and got pregnant when her second was only 3 months old so she didnt give her body time to get back to normal. well she was due april 8th and had her baby last week.

I carried relatively low through my entire pregnancy. I am pretty long waisted, though.
The baby "dropped" WAAAY low down over 4 weeks ago when I was at 37 weeks. As low as I was already, this was MUCH lower!
Now I am a week overdue.
So having a low baby doesn't mean you will go early. I thought for sure it would mean that I would go early, but as you can see, that isn't the case.

First of all CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
Secondly, there is such a thing called LIGHTENING and ENGAGEMENT where the fetus begins to descend lower into your abdomen towards your pelvis. Usually, this happens one to four weeks before delivery. Although there are some women that dont experience prominent lightening.... I suggest taking things slow and be careful. Remember that it is best for the baby to stay in your womb for at least 37 weeks.
Take care.

Nope!!!!! I carried low and didn't gain hardly any weight (except the normal 30 something lbs.) and everyone thought I'd go early...

I WAS 1 1/2 WEEKS LATE!!!!!

That's just wives' tales... nobody can predict when you'll go into labor. SORRY!

Carrying low suddenly when you were carrying high before can be a sign that the baby's head has dropped into the pelvis as they do shortly before birth. However, if you're just naturally carrying low and it hasn't dropped suddenly, then it means nothing. It's just that everyone carries differently.

No not always true, I carried low and I went a week over. Baby will come when its ready, regardless of how you carry, nobody can predict when baby is coming.
