Why are there so many racists on Yahoo! answers?
and futhermore, are you racist?

no I don't feel that I am with the exception that I hate everyone equally.
I have said repeatedly and will continue on saying it...The people that respond to the racist questions are just as bad as the asker. By responding you are just continuing the cycle. The whole idea is for them to get a response and when they do, they just keep on asking the stupid questions and answering with the racist remarks. So who is more to blame, the troll, or the ones that fed it to keep it around?

I am not a racist. I do however think, people that are, find this site a way of being able to express themselves,whereas they otherwise wouldn't.Alot of them probably aren't even racist, they just say they are, they're the kind that like to get other people rowdy-up for no good reason other then for the laugh.The ones that are and I would like to think that you can tell which ones are real racist,are just people that place limitations on themselves and everyone they engage, my advice is just not get involved with anyone who doesn't except the things that they just can't change.It takes all kinds to make the world go round,and Thank God you have the choice of "who and what" you want to be and in the end know that it never really mattered what color you are.

There are so many racists on Yahoo Answers because there are so many racists in the world. I think we all have the tendency to stereotype (and let's face it, some stereotypes are true). But I, myself, am not racist. People are people.... some are good, some bad, some pretty, some ugly. Underneath it all, racism is just cowardice, insecurity, and fear. I am too strong for that. I can only hope that one day the rest of the world will agree.

Not sure that there are really alot of racists, my guess would be that there are a few who change names/avatars and some that are "trolling" or just trying to get people worked up. I say this because there are a few racists posts a day but for every one there are about 20+ answers that condemn them.
And no I'm not.

My guess would be that they absolutely love the annonymity the internet provides. They can do and say whatever they want, no matter how outrageous with basicallly no fear of retribution or of being recognized by anyone. A bunch of chickenshits basically hiding out on the internet...saying what they would never say in a live (face to face) public forum because they lack the balls to. Really, they are truly a sad bunch. What's funny/sad is racism doesn't seem to discriminate - it comes in all colors, genders, religions, etc.
No, I do not consider myself racist.

No I'm NOT racist. As a homosexual I'm on the receiving end of hate, prejudice, insults, ignorance and racism... (I'm part of human race)
I wonder why ppl who hv experienced any prejudice will turn around and are prejudice against me... it makes no sense.
I believe yr question is great. I've asked a similar one.
There are people who ask questions that give those who hate a platform for their hatred. Never b4 hv I seen so many ppl in a hurry to express their ignorance... ignorance means "uninformed" not stupid. the worst ones are the chickens that block all contact with them.
None of it should be tolerated IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM.

I am not a racist person, but I have to admit some of the statements are hard to take. White or Black, Christians or Atheists, Strait or Gay, Democrat or Republican.......the list goes on. I try to consider the source, and not get too angry about it. I believe many are just hiding behind the anonymity of Y/A.

I am not a racist! I believe we are all equal and everyone has something good inside him/her!
The fact that one is anonymous on yahoo answers makes it easier to show your true self and yes, the fact remains that a lot of people are, in some degree, racist...

I think most of the people here just get a kick out of being racist or spewing hate. In real life I'm sure they aren't that bad. But when no one knows who you are and you're immature and you think provoking people is funny, then you'll do stupid things like act racist just in hopes of upsetting someone.
Part II:
The only group I discrimiate against is White Trash.

Because the world is full of ignorance and stupidity. Racism is based on ignorance and stupidity. I have a mixed race grandson and another coming next month. I HATE that they are going to get crap from both races because of it. But I think they are also part of the solution to racism. As interracial marriage and interracial breeding continues, the race lines get fuzzier and fuzzier. They will eventually disappear all together.
