No, Uranus is not a galaxy. Uranus is one of nine planets which orbit around the Sun in our Galaxy which is known as the Milky Way Galaxy. The planet Uranus is one of the Gas Giants within our Solar System. It is 1.78 billion miles from the Sun on average. What makes this gas planet so interesting is that it has rings similar to those of Saturn, but the rings go from top to bottom around the planet. There are a total of eleven rings around the planet. At least 27 moons also swing around this planet. Five of them are significantly sized objects and the remainder are small bodies of rock and ice just a few miles wide.
The planet Uranus has a diameter of 31,763 Miles and is the 7th planet away from the Sun. it appears blue in color when observed through a telescope. Uranus is the third largest planet in our Solar System and it is mainly comprised of water, methane and ammonia gases. The upper atmosphere of Uranus is mostly hydrogen gas with some methane. Ultraviolet rays from sunlight interact with the methane gas to produce the apparent blue color of the planet.
Uranus appears featureless to us when observed through telescopes because of a constant hase of intermingling hydrogen and methane gas and some water moisture. Cloud top temperatures on the planet are about Minus 353 Degrees F.

Uranus is a planet, not a galaxy. Maybe you should limit your questions to the television category.
