I have this sticky residue on my pots and pans from using vegetable oil. Nothing I've tried has worked to remove it. Hopefully someone will have a suggestion that works. Thanks.

Usually with an SOS or other type of scouring pad. But you have to be careful and not rub too heavily if you want to protect a Teflon surface. Just go easy with it. But I have found this works.

Use baking soda. It is a very mild abrassive and works wonders. My sink was stained a brown color and with little scrubbing the baking soda took it right off. It's safe for all types of materials. I use it on my hair when I get too much buildup from shampoo and products.

If your pots and pans are stainless steel, you can buy a stainless steel cleaner. I use Lagostina Stainless Steel and Copper Cleaner. It is non-toxic, biodegradable and no Phosphorus. It does a great job of keeping my pots and pan shiny and clean.

I always soak my pots and pans in hot water with some dishwashing liquid in it. I do this as soon as I am finished using them. It also stops food from hardening and making them harder to wash later.
