If you do not chart or monitor your fertility in any way, and you think you may have conceived, you should wait 19 days (or longer) after having sex to test. Why 19?! Sperm can live approximately 5 days in the proper environment; if the sperm managed to live until you popped an egg, the actual conception could have taken place several days after the sex act that got the sperm there. To make sure you're not testing too early, assume the sperm had very long lives (5 days is considered a very long sperm life) and that conception occurred then. Then allow 14 days for the embryo to implant and develop enough hCG to show up on a pregnancy test (96% of pregnant women will test positive by then.)

It depends on how close you are to your period. I think the earliest detection for a pregnancy test is like 4 days before your period is due. And at that it is not 100% accurate (unless it comes up positive). A pregnancy test measures your level of the pregnancy hormone hCG and so the more pregnant you are, the higher your hormone is and the easier it is to detect. Taking a test too soon may say negative only because there is not enough hormone to detect, but 3 days later it could be positive. Unfortunately if you are not due for your period for another week or two, you are going to have to wait if you want an accurate reading.
Having said that, I do not know if this is a wanted pregnancy or not, but some things to consider in regards to being pregnant: going on the "norm" (and not all women are normal when it comes to ovulation) you normally ovulate 14 days before your next period. This is fairly easy to calculate on a 28 day cycle - most women will ovulate right in the middle of their cycle. Sperm can survive for several days in the woman's body so you do not have to have sex at the exact time of ovulation in order to get pregnant. Having sex before you ovulate could also cause you to get pregnant. Also, there are those women who do not ovulate in the middle of their cycle (my friend is one who ovulates approx. 9 days before her cycle and was having an awful time trying to get pregnant because she kept assuming she was ovulating in the middle of her cycle.
Sorry that you have to wait - hope you get the answer you are looking for.

Wait until you have missed your period. If you are not sure when your period is due, about 14 days or so after you had unprotected sex will tell you whether you got pregnant from THAT time. It takes a while (10 + days) for the HCG horomone which indicated pregnancy to show up in your urine. Use first morning urine since the concentration is higher and you'll know sooner.

you can get tests that show as early as 5 days before your next period but are not as accurate as waiting until a day after you should have come on.I hope you have the result you both want.

The box will tell you to wait 19 days. You won't get accurate results until either your missed period, or about a month.

It usually takes 2 weeks to show up in ur urine, unless u buy the new and exspensive preg test, then can detect it earlier. I dont know how much earlier though.

Whenever you take your HIV and STD tests?
You might as well have them all done at the same time.

You might want to wait another week or two before buying the pregnancy test.

Your question should be, with all the knowledge there is about STD's and teen pregnancy and how to prevent unwanted pregnancies and abortion, your question SHOULD be 'why did I have unprotected sex if I didn't want to have a baby.' I think it's time you had that sex talk with your Mom.
