9 months and 3 weeks ago i slept with my friends sister,shes 19 and i'm 17.we wrote it off as a one night stand,then 7 months after we slept together she told me she was pregnant with my child.1 month and 2 weeks later she had a baby girl.her brother who is my best friend knew she was pregnant but never knew who the father was.i have since then asked her out,to be my girlfriend.i have fallen in love with her,hard to believe since i have only ever seen her as my friends sister,never even saw her as a friend.but seeing her with our child,its hard to describe really.but i have fallen for her in a big way.my friend,her brother,is very protective of his sister.how can we tell him that i am the father and that we are also a couple now?

The pair of you should just sit him down and explain. He'll probably be really upset to begin with but I'm guessing he'd rather have you taking care of his sister than some random guy she met and he doesn't know from Adam. Tell him, give him some space if he needs it and remind him that you are still his best friend. Reassure him you love his sister and want to protect and care for her and your child. You and his sister need to sit down together to tell this to him. It will be a hell of a shock, but hopefully when he sees how committed you are to each other, he will be happy for you. It will be strange for him to accept though - I know as I have been in his shoes believe it or not.
He will come around eventually when he sees you both together, but you have to make sure that you are 100% committed to this relationship.

Woah... your life is way more interesting than mine! OK, I think you should just come out with it. Sure, he may well be pissed, and I guess has a right to for a little bit but I'm sure he will see:
- you have been responsible and are asking to be a daddy to his nephew/niece
- you are good enough to be his friend so you are good enough to be with his sister
- he doesn't have to worry about his sister because he know you well enough to know you'll take care of her.

Not an easy one, but it is likley that sooner or later it will all come out in the wash, and so it is probably better if it comes from you as oppose to one of the local gossips.

a bit of reverse psychology is the order of the day. tell him you've fallen head over heels in love with a girl who's got a baby like his sister. she likes you too but you're scared and unsure about whether to give it a go. when he tells you to go for it, you've pretty much got his blessing. if he doesn't it doesn't matter that much anyway. enjoy your life together
