The dealer told me they could not disconnect it and can not find anything wrong. I can not take the horn relay out to stop the horn from blowing because the security system grounds through it. I want my doors to lock but could care less about the security system.

This may seem odd to you, but, how old is your trucks battery?

If it's over four years old, the battery is loosing voltage while it's just sitting there. Your alarm system recognizes this as a dome light coming on drawing voltage from the battery.

Change your battery, and everything will be fine...Realy....

That makes no sense. You can't ground something through the horn relay. They cut the door lock and ignition wires to put the security alarm in, and you just need to figure out which ones they are and put them back together again when you remove it. Explorers have some tricky door locking relays, so it might be a good idea to pay an alarm company to remove it.

Surely you can have the alarm removed???? It's not there permanently is it? Anyway, I always tell people they are wasting their money for car alarms - truely, when was the last time you hear a car alarm go off and see people running to catch the thief or even bothering to call the police??
