I think war sucks, but I think we should increase defense spending to SUPPORT our troops over there and do it now so we can get them "home" as quickly as possible.
I have friends serving there and they tell me that there isn't enough "body armour" and enough supplies in general. Amercians should stop the bulls--t politics between left/right and concentrate on protecting the men and women serving there and anywhere else in the world.

I don't think it has anything to do with my sexual identity, but I think we went in under false pretenses, the President now admits publicly that there was no correlation between Iraq and 9-11...
I don't see that the US presence in Iraq is helping the Iraqis a bit at this point - so we should plan an exit strategy if not leave altogether.
Our occupation and bungling of Iraq has made us a global laughing stock. I mourn for the thousands people who have lost loved ones in or because of Iraq.

Having 2 brothers in Afghanistan and supporting the attack on the Taliban and Osama, I must tell you I feel the opposite for the invasion of Iraq. There was no proof, there were no weapons, there was no imminent danger of attack or otherwise. Sadly, what good will the US had with the world was quickly and violently squandered for the quick fix of political points and pay backs.

what a friggin mess. now that we got involved, it's hard to pull out. Just like Vietnam. I knew this would happen when it all started. People actually believed there would be shock and awe and then credits. I'm not suprised it has lasted this long at all. I dont know if we have any right to be there or not right now. I see both the pros and cons. (i'd get into it more but it just started raining and the top of my jeep is off)

Well, although it has NOTHING to do with my sexuality seeing as how if i were straight i would still feel the same way...i think the war is pointless and i think all of the so-called analyzations of why the war is still ongoing are absolutely LUDICROUS. Its pathetic & a shame that so much time, money & bloodshed is continuing in Iraq.

From the begining I thought it was a sham. The stated trigger for going to war by the administration has changed four times and very few even question this. I don't know how my sexual orientation has any affect on my views for this topic, however.

For what it's worth, I'm former military.

We don't know how to fight a war. Operation Shock And Awe turned into Operation Lets Be Friends.

Once we found out our reason for being there were wrong and we got Sadam (which we should have done the first time) we should have thought about getting out.

Sexual orientation doesn't really make that big of a difference when it comes to political stance. Why do you assume that since we're gay/bi/lez, we're akin to a different species. The only reason that it might make a difference is possible resentment of the military, due to their opinion of our orientation.
(Note that this is not my opinion. I'm proudly bi, and just as proudly a military brat.)

I don't think you will get answers as diverse as you may expect. Sexual preference has little to do with political opinion.
