It's a matter of what you GENUINELY believe. Many people "think" they believe one thing, but it is their deep sub conscious beliefs that are really running the show.

Yes. I'm a total believer. I discovered "The Secret" a few months back and was excited that there was a NAME for this. I've always been able to attract exactly what I want into my life. I've been able to attract material things in an uncanny way. It's not like I set out to get a material thing for free. I have it in my mind, know that I want/need it. And after times, it just comes! I really think people miss a few points about the law of attraction. It has alot to do with how you "feel" and you also have to take action. You cant just sit around waiting for things to come to you, you have to interact with people and watch the signs. The most important part is living a grateful, thankful life.
I see moments of doubt or failure as pushing me to what I really want! These are the chances for us to learn the most. Step back , see the lesson, then try again.
Another thing I've found is "careful what you ask for" is so true. You really need to be specific. Imagine you already have the thing/goal and let the universe do its magic.
Good luck :)

What you focus on - whether positive or negative - is what you will put your energy into - and as such you will "attract it". In skydiving, there is the concept of object fixation... there might be only one tree in a field , but a student will always hit it - this is because by becoming fixated by the tree, they end up steering their body , and hence the canopy, towards the object... If you are focused on being happy - you will be less likely to let things get you down, since you are concentrating on what makes you happy : )
Yes I've used this philosophy and found it to work. It's not always easy - sometimes a fear or anxiety can come into your head and you can end up obsessing about it... the trick is to recognise it for what it is, and substitute a happier/ more productive thought in your head, once you catch yourself. That's not to say that some fears and anxieties are not "real"... but what's important is how you look at them, and the power you give them. : )

This is the central tenet of Scientology. For the most part, it's ridiculous. The only respect in which it is accurate is that a positive attitude will (1) cause people to react to you more positively, and (2) cause you to have a better outlook on anything that happens to you, making everything seem more positive than it would if you had a more pessimistic outlook. Thinking in a certain way does not act like a magnet on events, causing certain things to happen and not others.

Absolutely. I am living proof of it. Read Dr. Norman Vincent Peale's book - The Power Of Positive Thinking - it changed my life! I've never looked back since. Even when things appear to be failure, if you learn from it, then it's a positive thing and you are all the more stronger because of it.

The truth is the life is largely a self-fulfilling prophecy.......if you work smart and hard then you will be rewarded for it...if you apply yourself wisely to everything you do, then you will do well.....if you take advantage of every opportunity that comes your way then you maximize your chance of success....etc.....
However, "luck" or as I like to call it "circumstance" can dictate, how frequent these opportuniites are available, how readily they are available and how wise you are to recognize them etc...e.g. circumstance of birth is a luck thing. If you are born into a wealthy family with all the priviledges to expose you to the best things and people then unless you buck the ride, you will most likely become more of what your were born into........circumstance can also be chance encounters with ideas or people that change the course of your life, circumstance can also be being born with an extraordinary work ethic or brain power etc........

Yes, I do!!! I had been in abusive relationships, lost everything(including my kids) and was in jobs I didn't like. I doubted why my higher power was giving me a terrible life. Then I decided he's doing that to make me a stronger person!!!! Now my self motto is "I am a good person and I deserve the BEST!!!" I have gained my self respect back, have my children back and have a GREAT job!!!!

Don't you believe it. That's not how the world works. I invite you to crap in one hand while positive (wishful) thinking with the other and see which gets full first.

i believe that positive outlook in life begets positive outcome... and being pessimistic tends to give you more worries. how we always hope that we get what we truly desire (wishful thinking or not), in the end when we thought positively, we are always hakuna matata...

Optimism - No matter how often you are dissapointed, you keep thinking positively.
Pessimism - Whenever you're wrong, you're pleasently suprised.
