From playing like 5 of the last 7 versions, I've found out that you should not only get lots of different types of pokemon but also really try to get lots of different types of moves, so that at least one of your pokemon has a move for any type your opponent throws at you. TM's really help for this. So try to get lots of move types instead of pokemon types.
But I would replace Zubat with an Ice type (Jynx and Lapras are really good),
swap Tangela for an Electric (maybe... Magnemite or Magneton, just teach it Thunderbolt or Thunder with a TM) and get some kind of Fire type on your team!! Fire type is good against lots of other types.
But definitely keep Aerodactyl and Hitmonlee.
Hope it helps, sorry so long

Sounds like a strong team, but try to evolve Sandshrew and Zubat. Also, I would switch Tangela with Pikachu.

I can immediately see a huge weakness: ice tyope attacks. 4 of your pokemon are weak to ice moves, so a rethink is in order.
Like someone above me said, use pikachu in your team, possibly replacing sandshrew. Replace Tangela with a psychic type such as Mr. Mime. Replace zubat with a fire type (Rapidash is a decent choice, or Charizard) and your team should be fine, as long as you train it well. You need to be at level 65 before you challenge the elite four.

What are you speakme approximately? Pokemon Silver was once the excellent! They remade it into SoulSilver now. And no, they would possibly not. They already made a Red and Blue remake for Gameboy Advanced, FireRed and LeafGreen. Besides, the brand new video games are truthfully valued at it, you'll be able to get historic Pokemon, there may be higher facets, and you will not even must use the traumatic hyperlink cable anymore! It's WiFi enabled, so you'll be able to play with individuals all over the world (that is for DS video games and up)!
