So my 10 year old thinks that Rey Mysterio and Eddie Gerrero were some type of family. I think that maybe it was a ploy in one of the stories. Dose anyone know if this is true?

Ok im 15 years old and the biggest rey mysterio fan ever!! i can tell u that Rye mysterio and Eddie were not family. They grew up toghether and there family was very very veyr close 2 one another. Considerng they wer ethe only 2 wwe superstars with a real hispanic background!! Just make sure he understands that the things on wresteling is all fake stuff!! and tell him that It was only a story line! Just try not to make a huge dela outta it!

First off, WWE never claimed that they were family in storyline. They said Eddie was like a mentor or father figure to Rey-Rey, but they are not related.
Also, on a more judgmental note towards your matriarchal approach, let it go. He's 10, and when you argue with a 10 year old, regardless to if you win or not, you'll always come out looking like the idiot.

They were VERY close in real life. If your son is talking about a few years ago when they were having a storyline with eddie guerrero saying he is rey mysterios father then tell him it was a storyline and there not related

I think the best thing to do is to tell your 10 year old what wrestling is all about. That it is designed for television and it is not real. He may get the understanding that Mysterio and Guerrero were related because of the way they played off on television. He is young and when he/she watches television, ESPECIALLY wrestling they are prone to believing what they see because it involves real people.
When i was 10 i believed that Hogan's leg drop was really that devestating. It wasn't until i was 15 when everyone was saying wrestling was fake and proved it to me.

Not related by blood. Close as brothers but thats about it. It's like the proverbial extended family. Like, your kids best friend might be like "family"

they were very very close friends and considered each other familia. but no there is no blood relation. also there was never a story line about them being blood related. so i guess you are both right.
